DEH PON DI LOW - DIGITALDA
Art Direction, Visual Identity & 2D Animation
Digitalda was an important young artist in the French female Dancehall scene, who passed away on November 26, 2023. Her passion for music and artistic talent allowed her to be noticed and supported by artists and performers of this musical movement.
Following her passing, Digitalda’s family reached out to our studio to create an animated video clip for her single DEH PON DI LOW. We were deeply honored to contribute to her legacy by developing as well the visual identity and vinyl design for the release event, which celebrated both the video clip and her final compositions.

The visual identity for this release party celebrates the underground energy of the French sound system scene—a movement built on DIY values, cultural resistance, and raw sonic power. To reflect this, we created an aesthetic that feels both gritty and electric, aligning with the independent spirit of sound system crews who operate outside the mainstream in squats, warehouses, and open-air spaces. The event marks both the premiere of Digitalda’s animated video clip and the launch of her final vinyl release, honoring her legacy as a bold voice in a male-dominated musical world.
Typographically, the design embraces an eclectic mix of fonts—pairing heavy sans-serifs with serif warped lettering, and gothic style font, to reflect the layered nature of dancehall and dub culture. The color palette is bright and high-contrast, led by hot pink and vibrant blue, anchored by black accents that add depth and balance. This bold combination mirrors both Digitalda’s visual universe and the unapologetic character of the music she embodied. Design elements such as DJing gear and speaker stacks, are integrated to nod to her artistic influences and the broader sound system culture.
Rather than a clean or corporate look, the identity leans into distortion, rhythm, and plays.
